Met zijn eerste zakgeld werd er al vinyl gekocht. Alles werd op bandjes gezet om de boel zijn oren in te krijgen. Roots, reggae en (DUB)steppers is waar het Jah Depender om gaat. Reggae Soundsystems gaven hem een introductie in "The Sounds of the Allmighty"!! Jah Depender is vaak voor de basboxen te vinden bij soundsystems en achter de draaitafels en op Radio bassculture.
